Headed Home

Spanish Wells was a dream. I love having no attachment to the real world, shutting my phone down for the day and exploring. We spent the last week there, driving our golf cart around aimlessly to the beach or to get ice cream at Papa’s Scoops every night (2 flavors are offered everyday from 7-10pm). Every was so kind to a each other too. One of my favorite things about riding around the island was waving to everyone that passed by me with a smile. Such a sense of community on a very small island.

Spent so much valuable time with Gage, Eden and the Sunday Waffles family this past week while they were getting repairs done. Such fate we both ended up going to the same island again at the same time. It was one of my hardest goodbyes, i’m so looking forward to seeing them again in the future.

I started my second semester of online college today while we were crossing the banks. That was quite an experience. Might have only been connected for 20 min of class but my professors all thought I had a very good excuse. It was so nice having nearly 2 months off to really feel like I was on vacation. It still went by way too quickly..

We are 7 hours out of Miami now, we left Spanish Wells around 9:45pm last night. Should be smooth sailing from here on out. I will definitely miss writing the memories as they come, but will sure do a recapture of some of my favorites in the weeks to come. It’s currently 65 degrees and we are all wearing winter hats. Most of the family is scared we won’t survive a CT winter.. i’m hoping i’ll make it. Talk soon!
